In case of mild pain, the surgeon prefers to proceed with conservative approach which consists of prescribing FANS and motion reduction by menas of a thumb brace. If the pain is still present even without weightbearing, then it is necessary a surgical approach. There are different optins: Welby arthroplasty, trapezio-metacarpal prosthesys, pirocarbon spacer and equivalent materials.

This section is dedicated to solutions about rhizarthrosis with MAÏA® dual mobility, studied to guarantee the functional gain in terms of range of motion, or either with MEMODYN® in order to achieve a more effective and more efficient compression. In the first case a special offset neck has been studied with an exclusive geometry. In the second case we rely on proprieties of hot shape memory bipode staplers.
